This is the most popular trek in Bhutan and you can do it the year round although the best times are in Spring and Autumn months. The Trek route is along the ancient trade route connecting the two adjacent valleys of Paro and Thimphu. This route was used in the past when there was no motor road in Bhutan.
The six-day trek starts from the National Museum in Paro and finishes at Motithang in Thimphu. And it offers some great views of mountains and beautiful lakes along the way. Trekkers also get to experience the daily lives of local Bhutanese people as they get to visit villages, temples, monasteries, and gigantic fortresses along the way.
