This six-day trek begins from Tongtongphey, about two-hour drive from Trongsa town, and ends at Nimshong village, taking trekkers around the scenic landscape of Trongsa district. The route takes trekkers through the many villages of Monpas, who are believed to be the first inhabitants of Bhutan. Trekkers will pass through the villages of Jangbi, Kudra, Nabji, Korphu, and Nimshong during the trek.
You will also visit an orchid garden with around 75 different varieties of orchids, stone imprints of Guru Rinpoche’s footprints, dagger and phallus, a collage of streams, waterfalls and thick forests, interaction with the local communities, experiencing traditional songs and dances, and village temples.
